Goalfinder - Helping you find goals in live football games!

Goalfinder is a tool developed by traders for traders! I have been using it for a week now an already more than happy to share my experience! In short, this piece of software is a simple to follow indicator that tracks live games in real time. It has all major leagues covered and provides heat graphs for football matches that can help you indentify games where goals are likely to be scored. It allows you to improve your bet and trade timing and get overall better results.

First, here is something from the developer:

EddieLizard - GoalFinder Developer The bar graph goes in 2 ways, there are purple bars above the centre line, there are green bars below. We track a bunch of stats for each team and give each team a rating then we take the away rating off the home rating. That gives us a score for that minute. A big positive score = the home team has more points than the away team so the bar goes up and is purple, the bigger the bar the stronger the home teams activity in that particular minute. If the result of that calculation is negative then the away team is currently stronger than the home team. This is very similar to 'momentum' graphs that many other sites use, it's a visual representation of which team is currently stronger. We add an orange line to this that we call 'heat rating' - it's a weighted average of very recent data of both teams combined. The momentum graph style described above has one flaw. If both teams ratings are close then the bar will be small, it's often possible for both teams to be pushing hard, and those are games we are more likely to want to be involved with. The chances of a goal being scored go up when there is activity, and if 2 teams are pushing for a goal rather than 1, then goals become still more likely, and if the heat line is high, and the bars are low that typically indicates a game where both teams are pushing. The green number on the far right is the raw Pressure rating that is used to calculate the bars on the graphs. Activity is however only 1 piece of the puzzle. You also need to take into account the market prices, which team is stronger, the motivation of each team to want to win the game, the time left etc etc etc. Goalfinder is designed as a helpful indicator to let you track many games at once to pick out the best time to enter a bet/trade. if you were at home watching a game and fancied the game to finish over 2.5 goals, then as you watch you could follow the tempo of the game and see the quality of the play and best decide when to enter the overs market to get the best price. This tools lets traders 'watch' many games at the same time and give a simple and easy to read way of telling hot games from cold games.

The example shown above was a clear candidate to either back 1-1 or lay the home team. The score was 1-0, Port Vale got a red card and Crewe Alexandra was really dominating. The game ended 1-1.

Such a tool as GoalFinder would be useless without a good set of filters and the software offers a lot in this area. It is possible fo filter by country, by league or even by game state. You can concentrate only on 2nd half Premier League games, 1st half La Liga games or whatever else you prefer.

The tool is contiuously being improved and new functionalities are added. Users can set audio alerts, notifications for certain events and order games on the list by country and kick-off time:

Let’s get back to the information provided for every football match on the list. We have:

Team names with the position in the league table for each team (in brackets),
Current score in the game,
Shots on target (last 10 minutes),
Shots inside the box (last 10 minutes),
Corners (last 10 minutes),
Dangerous attacks (last 10 minutes),
Pressure rating (last 10 minutes)

I am sure you are wondering whether it is possible to see the complete stats! The answer is YES! All it takes is to click on the name of one team and you will see everything in a popup window. You can check first half stats, second half stats, last 10 minutes and all stats together.

Here is a quick look at the available alerts. They are shown at the bottom right part of your browser screen and provide information about goals being scored, VAR checks, red cards (I like red card notifications especially as they change the dynamics of any football game) and hot games.

It is also possible to build personal shortlists – typically when doing research before the trading day – and share them with friends!

You can also select favourite games and have this 2nd level filter to follow only very specific matches – for example those where you are involved in a trade.

Let me now try to address a couple of misconceptions and share the details of how I was personally using the tool.

Markets are uncertain and unpredictable! If you see a pressure in football match, it doesn't mean that you should be sure that goal will be scored. Remember, advanced traders believe unconditionally that they operate in unpredictable environment. Going for goals in every game where there is pressure will take you nowhere! GoalWatch is showing you games with action but it is only a first step. Before making a decision to enter the market, you should check the odds and see if they present value, check if the pressure is temporary or was there for the majority of the game, confirm strength of teams and their motivation, factors like red cards and injuries etc.

GoalFinder really helps if used correctly! During my week of testing GoalFinder helped me to quickly identify games that I was looking for.

- games with red cards (opportunity to lay the team with red card, go for goals if pressure is right etc.),

- games where one team was leading but the other team was applying pressure (lay the home team, select some target scores in the Correct Score market taking into account at least one goal scored by the away team),

- games where there was no clear favourite before the game but in-play one team was dominating significantly,

- games that I identified as over 2.5 goals and pressure from both team confirmed that,
